I work at a sign shop (vinyl signs, banners, digital printing, etc.) and people are always looking for new and high tech ways to increase the visibility of their signage. LED kits are expensive, bulky and look like Lite-Brite. I’m looking for something that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg and has enough impact to really grab people’s attention.

depending on your area – have you ever thought about inflatables. There
somewhat inexpensive, they can have a light put in them for night time visibility and you can allow the customer to rent them from you to bring in business. All said and done you have help promote there business and could continue to rent them and make your business money as well.

neon signs? banners with fluorescent coloring? May sound childish, but glitter? to scintillate future clients?

I have had the same question, and I saw an interesting new technology at the SGIA Expo a couple weeks ago. Take a look at Neonclix. They manufacture “paper lamps” which are specifically designed for your purpose. It is fairly new stuff, but it looks like it has a lot of potential.
