I work for a private investment group that buys bank notes and refinances people up to fair market value guaranteeing a principal reduction. Usually, I do work in the morning at Starbucks, using their wif fi and buying coffee. At the table I sit at, can I put a small propped up sign advertising what I do? Or it at the discretion of the manager?

this is what you call aggressive guerilla marketing. Starbucks has a no soliciting policy. Just don’t make it obvious and make it look like you left it on the table. Hopefully someone picks it up before the employees clean the table

wft? are you that cheap!!!??? just put a big sticker on your laptop behind the monitor, then you can say it’s not advertising, it’s just there, and people wont think you’re super cheeeeesssy

You would only be allowed to do that if you got the manager’s permission first. And you would have to buy lots of coffee.
Try putting the info on the back of the top of your laptop. it is part of your computer. It is not sitting on the table by itself. When you close up and leave, your ad goes with you.
