Want to know how to Purchase Led Signs? Buying an led sign is not as easy as it looks, that’s why doing research is very important. Follow the following steps below in order to purchase a proper sign with a proper manufacturer.
QUESTIONS To Ask When Purchasing the LED Sign
THE PRODUCTS
1) Do they actually manufacture LED displays and if so where are they made?
2) How long have they been manufacturing LED displays?
3) Do they have their own staff of manufacturing, design engineering, service and personnel? or they outsource?
THE INSTALLATION
1) Do you receive mechanical drawings and Instructions on the display with all needed Technical specifications and information in English?
2) Does the manufacturer provide a simple method of mounting the display to a superstructure or is that an extra charge?
AFTER-SALES SERVICE
1) Warranty? GW LEDs offers a standard 5 year warranty. Beware of manufacturers with low display pricing and then outrageous service plan pricing!
2) Does the manufacturer maintain a supply of parts for current and previous models?
3) What is their parts replacement policy?
4) Do they have a competent on-site and/or on-line training program?
5) Do they have competent and available service support lines? Ask to see their manuals

1) What type of LED’s do they use? Nichia, Cree or others?
2) What is the pixel size? More is better!
3) What is the NIT brightness rating of the display?
4) Is the enclosure NEMA style and built utilizing a seamless aluminum uni-body design?
5) Are the internal components conformal coated to protect them from the environment?
6) Is the inside of the display environmentally protected from heat, cold, water and lightening/surges?
7) Does the manufacturer offer product with both Protected and exposed pixel configurations?
8) Software? Easy to use? Support windows?
Rest assured that while there are many reputable led sign manufacturers available today, it’s always wise to do some research and keep the questions above in mind when purchasing an led display.
