what are the benefits of opening a vinyl sign business?

I am planning on opening a sign business. I was wondering if anyone else here happens to have one of these businesses or knows someone who does. Also, could you tell me a little about how to get started and how to go about things?

First, the sign business is a profitable enterprise, if you do your homework. First things first investigate who your competition is and what niche of the market they serve. In the printing or sign business, usually each business usually serves a particular market niche your job is to find the niche that is being neglected. This is not to say you cannot compete toe to toe with competition, by having better pricing, service and by building relationships.

Also selling printing as a print broker is another option through your sign business. I have colleagues who own sign businesses and broker other printing under their company name.
