Yard signs are one of the oldest forms of advertising still widely used in today’s marketing world. They have the potential to endorse political candidates, relay important information/make statements and sell products. It is important to have an informative yet simple sign in order to make an impact on those who see them.
There are countless ways to use a yard sign to market a specific product or idea. Think about your design when creating a new sign. Make sure to have a simple layout with a few simple colors otherwise your sign can be confusing or hard to read. Be creative enough in your design so that it will draw focus away from other signs that may be around.
Only place the information needed on the sign – if there is a clutter of words there is a good chance the most important aspect of the sign will be missed. If you do not have any design experience, it might be a good idea to speak with a designer to see what will work and what will not. They can give you some simple advice to make sure you get the most out of your design.
KEEP YOUR LOGO SIMPLE if you are using one. Full color complicated designs can get expensive to print – it is wise to utilize a simple design to save money and keeps your sign straight to the point.
Size matters when it comes to effective yard signs. If they are too small, no one will be able to read them or figure out what they are for. Big is always good but the signs should not be too big otherwise they will take up your whole yard!
